I started writing it all down, and I couldn’t stop.

A STORY OF FEAR, FAILURE, AND TRUSTING LOVE FOR THE FIRST TIME

There’s one Father who knows us better than we do, one table where it’s safe to say what we’re thinking, one home where we can stop hiding our humanness.

What if everything you ever searched for: identity, purpose, direction, peace, comfort, hope, lay-down-one’s-life kinda love… was not a pipedream, but a Person?

I’d like to introduce you to a story. It’s not just mine. There are others here too, brave ones, willing to take this journey with me. Then there’s you. I hope you see yourself in here too. Those late nights writing this book—you were there—because I know we’ve both felt forgotten, scared, wondered if the sun would ever come up. We’ve wished security didn’t always feel so far away.

But we’ve got to go back to the beginning. Where it all began in that old farmhouse on the hill. Walk there with me. Though the path forward is unknown—neither of us has to go it alone.

What readers say…

“Finished in two days! You are quite talented with your writing. I’m in awe
of your honesty, absolutely love your love/hate relationship with your hair!
Oh how I can relate. Your family dynamics/dysfunction is so similar to mine
and I’m quite sure many others, but we of course are not brave enough to
talk about it let alone publish it in a book! Bravo to you! Your book is freeing!
Free to accept who we are, good, bad, and ugly. Forgive as we have been
forgiven. Thank you for making it a little easier for me, personally,
to accept myself and my love for Jesus.”

“JoAnn has the ability thru her writings that bring comfort to the reader
and reinforces how we are not alone when times seem impossible.
This is such an inspirational and enjoyable read. I laughed, cried and
reminisced of our past times together. You won’t want to put it down.
Please purchase, you won’t regret it and will feel so inspired when
you finish the book. Congratulations to this fabulous author.
Cannot wait for Book 2.”

The word choice and use of language was impeccable. It speaks truth
from the very heart of JoAnn- a wonderful skilled author! A must read!!!”

“Opened the book as soon as I got it today and read the whole
thing start to finish. I couldn’t put it down. You bared your
soul and touched our hearts.”

~ Carole Basile

“This is the first book I have ever read in less then one day.
I couldn’t put it down. This is powerful. Disfunction, love, courage
and God on the move. Can’t wait for the sequel. Love this book.”

~ BJM

“I absolutely LOVED your book! I read it in one sitting
and didn’t want it to be over. It was raw and honest and
beautifully written. Your words paint such vivid pictures.
One of my favorite lines was “Like the unsanitary penny
passed over in the parking lot, I’m hardly worth the effort.”

Wow!! That just said it all in the moment.
Congratulations to you on a great achievement.”
