Headlines

Michael Jackson has fizzled. One of the most popular figures of the day is but a fleeting thought at the sound of one of his musical accomplishments. Yea…there are a few worshipers…but for the most part, we simply smile at the thought of a few fancy steps. Pondering all that he had been given by God…he is more to be pitied.

The purposes of God shall never fade. The flood will forever make headlines. The Red Sea shall not cease to be marveled in the mind of man. What happened in the lions den will be told and re-told until the sun darkens. David and Goliath…come on.
The cross will bring men to their knees until He returns. And the Resurrection will raise dead men to life…every twenty-four hours.

Believer? God has purposes for you today. These purposes may not make headlines on the earth…but shall be the buzz of heaven. When you love him. When you let it go. When you hold your tongue, and hate your pride. When you stop and visit. When you listen to His voice, and believe…it will be written down for eternity because it was ordained by God Himself.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:20
