Always the Savior

And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, “On this condition I will make a covenant with you, that I may put out all your right eyes, and bring reproach on all Israel.”
1 Sam 11:2

Nahash threatened the men of Jabesh. And Jabesh became afraid. In Jabesh’s fear his enemy offers him a compromise…”We won’t kill you…only discredit you.”

The compromises of the devil are without an ounce of glory or gain.

From the garden to this present day satan persists in cutting deals with the people of God. Preying upon their fears.

So it was, on the next day, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the camp in the morning watch, and killed Ammonites until the heat of the day. And it happened that those who survived were scattered, so that no two of them were left together. 1 Sam 11:11

Jebesh went to God. And God made an end of his enemy.

Israel rejoiced greatly. 1 Sam 11:15

When the Lord fights and conquers your enemy…it’s time to rejoice!
