Spirits

Spirits are a conundrum most people I know don’t enjoy discussing—myself included. Until recently.

The majority of the planet believe they exist—and for good reason. But some, like me, have considered them prohibited and just plain scary. Never to be scrutinized—they actively live and move and have power over all that exists? To contend that they are illusory has not stopped them.

The Bible has tons to say about the spirits. They are not all evil—and I have failed to learn how significant they are in my everyday life.

the antichrist
jealousy
burning
infirmity
deception
ill will

The Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ envelopes the spirits of:
life
love
gentleness
kindness
judgement
knowledge
justice
peace
long suffering
joy
humility
wisdom
grace
truth
holiness
adoption
faithfulness
glory
self control
prophecy

And they can all enter us.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God. 1Jn4:1
