Hold the phone!

My soul has been taxed way to long by the governing authority. Who, according to scripture, is the devil. I have underestimated the tyranny of this reality. I was under the oppression that God was ruling this disaster—poverty, abuse, terrorism, death. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Satan is heading up this deal. “the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me(Jesus.).” (Jn 14:30)

So history goes…

God created us for himself: Then God said,”Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Gen 1:26)

“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” (Gen 2:7)

“This people I have formed for Myself.” (Is 43:21)

Keep in mind that God and Satan — good and evil — were here way before man. Something went down between God and an angel he had created. “…fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (Matt 25:41)

You see Satan, Adam, Eve, we —- would rather not be told what to do by God.
“And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.“(Gen 2:16-17)

“Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.” (Gen 3:4-6)

We, who were once made in God’s image (perfectly happy), by self exaltation, came to know evil. We got into bed(became one) with rebellion, and misery. We relocated from a garden overshadowed by the Spirit of love and life, to a grave ruled by the strongest spiritual power of evil — Satan and his angels.

I think that I have been living here under the pretense of Eden. I’ve been looking at the world through the eye of a needle. Since I dwell in the the most prosperous fields on earth it appears to me that God is calling the shots. That’s a load of crap! Because when I look over my fence in light of “whom I have believed,”(2Tim1:12) that doesn’t make any sense. Mental illness, violent behavior, death! NO! It is Satan’s rebellion governing this tomb. Because warmth has accompanied the cold, I concluded that God had his hand on the thermostat controling every degree. And since God is the proprietor of this broken-down establishment, my complaints have come “against the landowner.”(Matt 20:11)

Admittedly I trip over how a snake got in my garden, and why Satan is handed the dictatorship. (“They ask me things that I do not know.” Ps 35:11)

However; the following has brought me some clues: “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day — with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods — so they are doing to you also. Now therefore, heed their voice. However, you shall solemnly forewarn them, and show them the behavior of the king who will reign over them.” (1 Sam 8:6-9)

I am forced to agree that when left to myself…I just want the lie to be true. Adam and Eve just wanted the devil to be right.

When I listen to women on the threshold of abortion I assure them that they are certainly within their legal right. With this warning: Do not lie to yourself. You are ending a life. Make your decision based on the truth, not on what you want the truth to be.

What I am saying is…I want to stop believing the lie that God is the current landlord of awfulness. I will no longer live under the devils’ accusations against him. I’ve been given the keys to move back in.

“You are “no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” (Eph2:19)
*”…no longer be slaves of sin.” (Rom 6:6)
“Death no longer has dominion over him…”(Rom 6:9)

“…it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” (Gal 2:20)

“You are no longer a slave but a son…”(Gal 4:7)

“…that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” (Eph 4:14-16)
